@jakedduck1. Dang neuropathy! Jake, I'm so sorry you going through that.

Mine was that bad too, when I was on mega-prednisone for 1 1/2 years, from June, 2019 to November, 2020. Numb right up to my waist. Now, it's gone to pain and numbness up to my knees, with numb toes. It isn't too bad during the day, but worse after dinner, really bad in the evening, and most of the night. Hard to get to sleep, and stay asleep. Always get up by 4:00 a.m.

I've been doing trials with carbs, because my neuropathy gets so bad after dinner. That's what it turned out to be! Eureka! I tried to cut most carbs out of my diet and that definitely helped. But, my blood glucose kept plummeting so I kept trying to remedy that. Hopeless though, living in a seniors' residence with set meal choices. Lots of pasta, bread, rice, potatoes. So, I'm back eating carbs and suffering from this dang neuropathy. It helps somewhat to walk so I can't wait for the weather to smarten up! Under all this manure, there must be a PONY somewhere!! Lol

PS. Just to clarify - I don't mean to imply that carbs CAUSE neuropathy, if that's how my post sounds. I only mean that, in my case, carbs seem to make it so much worse. When I re-read my post, I sound like a bit of a wing nut the way I've expressed the idea. Lol. I really need to get out walking in the fresh air!!
