I had BE in 2028 and my last 3 EGDs it was gone. I take omperazole 40mg every day since. No side effects yet and BE is gone. I did watch my diet closely. I’d rather have side affects than cancer of the esophagus.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any other medical issues? Other than taking the Omperazole did you make any other changes?

@riflemanz64 I have it too, but I'm confused because I was told you cannot get rid of it. I was told that once those cellular changes take place, they don't revert to normal cells.

I quit taking esomeprazole because after a year of it, my osteopenia advanced to osteoporosis. I now take only famotidine. But, with a low acid diet and drinking alkaline water only, I have very few symptoms.
