@heisenberg34 I am that person exactly. My cholesterol was high and I've been on a low dose statin now for3 years and developed neuropathy so painful that it felt like torture. The tingling, the random shocks, the needle like pain in my toes and feet drove me bonkers. Im off now for one week and those symptoms have almost totally subsided and will see my doctor for eval again in a few weeks. Meanwhile, my cholesterol is back up again now in spite of a healthy diet and exercise. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don't. But I am 76 years old so Im taking that into consideration. I was dealing with torn meniscus, vascular issues and now some veins shutting down but the combination of all three at the same time was as if my days were clearly and in bold numbered . At least going off the statin, speaking for myself, the peripheral neuropathy pain is almost non-existent now. I realize my body is deteriorating right now as is everyone's but at least for now I have enough mind function to discuss determine what may or may not be causing me issues and able to come to some form of pain reduction as I move naturally to non-existence.

Glad you're neuropathy is almost gone? What was the dosage of statin you took?

What treatment did you get for your torn meniscus and vascular issues?
