If the kitchen scale is a digital scale, it’s the best thing to use. Mine is digital and does grams or ounces. Urine does weigh just about the same as water. Look it up on the Internet.

Yes the one I got at Walmart is digital. Thinking of taking it back and spending a whole $3.00 more for one that is metal top and not plastic. Don't know if plastic would like cleaning with alcohol? But the metal top one is bigger and I like the small size plastic one, so still thinking.
I know the medical field uses ml, but I am old and stuck in my way on measurements. Never did get into the metric system. It really gets confusing when grams measure weight, while milliliters measure volume (amount of space it takes).
As you mention, it's easy to convert.
Even more confusing is 1 cc is the same as 1 ml. So if measuring something like water 1 gram, 1 cc and one ml are all the same. I over think things!
