I’d recommend pressing that little button and flipping it over to grams and accepting it - anyone who’s dealing with void amounts will be talking in terms of milliliters, so you’ll always be the odd one out, trying to force everyone else to your way of thinking, and since it’s an easy conversion of 1:1, it actually simplifies everything.

If your wife runs the kitchen and she says no to weighing pads on her kitchen scale…it’s good you respect that - I run our kitchen and my word is law in there. It’s the price folks who like home-cooked meals but can’t/don't/won’t cook themselves have to pay. 😉
