@gently Good points even though that comment about how you vote for the environment sounds a little political. Of course the environment is not to be denied but there are many more factors involved than that. Just to name a few, what about our foods, artificial flavors, coloring, preservatives? Hormones in meat & dairy, plastics, etc etc....
And if you had an X chromosome from your mom than you could be looking at a common women's cancer like breast or uterus.

@copyman "And if you had an X chromosome from your mom ..."

You will ALWAYS have an X chromosome from your mother.

@copyman I would put all of your factors under ‘environment’ as well.
Anything not naturally occurring - or put there by man - whether it be a chemical in a steer or chicken, a dye in a food, or a toxin released into the air we breathe are all environmental factors to be considered.
I know what you mean when you say it sounds ‘political’ - WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN??
How can clean air and water and non toxic chemicals be a right or left issue? Don’t we ALL want the same things?
I live on Long Island. Lee Zeldin was a staunch supporter of common sense environmental practices when he was our representative.
But now that he is the head of the EPA he has done a complete about face and has dismantled many protections that were put in place. Were some of them a bit too strict? Absolutely!
But just like the pendulum, he has swung completely the other way, and is now allowing known poisons to be pumped into streams and rivers. I guess he has to appease the big corporations who have felt handcuffed by previous administrations? I just wish everyone would just take a common sense approach to this issue and please STOP using it as a political weapon.
Best,
Phil
