I have restless body and that is no fun. It is my body that twitches and it twitches majorly at times. I did a number of Sleep studies at the Clinic years back and I jerked so bad that my body completely went off the bed like it jumped. It scared the tech that were monitoring how people. It’s no fun trying to sleep and you could feel these jerks come and go that don’t hurt. It just keeps waking you up..
I have found out some medicines can make it worse and I was on one not that long ago and it re-triggered it or a major episode. Now I’m hoping to get things back to normal with just very mild jerking
I understand how you are feeling but keep a diary when you start a med and it’s something develops within six weeks it could be the new drug. Chances are it could be that drug.. And yes, I said six weeks.
I wish you the best figuring out. What does your trigger for an episode?

@minnesota10 I also have restless body. It only happens when I'm asleep but wakes me and frightens me. It can be just my hands to my whole body. Its like an electrical current. My doctor is treating it with 1 mg. Alprazolam at night and this works very well. If I forget to take it I will have a "body jerk" at some time in the night which reminds me to get up and take it. I've had this for years. I am now 76. I use to take a different drug that left me drowsy. Another doctor said it was not good for elderly and switched me to Alprazolam. It has worked well for about 4 years now. I relate and feel very sorry for you.
