I have had experiences with kidney stones. Recently passed 7mm after a few others. I urinated constantly for 2 days, could not leave the house or I would let loose. Then woke up and did not go for 6 hours, told my husband to take me to er. Once there I put on gown lied down on table to be examined and all let loose. Ten minutes later I had to go to bathroom and passed "the stone". Urologist gave me potassium citrate which is to help break up stone. You need to find out what the stones are made up of. Mine are uric acid and I also have gout. High acid in my system. Still looking for the right diet for me. I try to stick to low purines and lots of water. Seems to be working so far. It is not easy to drink so much when it makes you feel like you need to constantly go to the bathroom.

@mc2230 I'm confused about the sequence of what happened to you: when were you given potassium citrate? Initially you say you were urinating constantly for 2 days? That was just out of the blue or were you on a medication at that time? Why was that happening?
