@nycmusic I am not a medical professional. In doing a search with the wording of "what is advanced ultrasound" there are several resources for you to look up. In my humble opinion, a CKD patient should be speaking with their nephrologist for their thoughts on the best method moving forward. I can tell you that my oncologist and nephrologist work closely to figure out the best things in my own situation. And remember to to keep in mind your current stage of disease, to remind your medical team, just in case! You have the final say-so.

Advanced ultrasound can be used in pregnancy or kidney disease situations in order to not promote negative side effects. But not all imaging centers offer that, so it might be a challenge there.
