@shocknot26, it really started with my mom. She had three hour pamidronate infusions while we watched anxiously for Forteo approval. In 2002 she started the injection that would stop her fractures and give her some relief from the pain of the thoracic fracture. She and her endocrinologist tricked me into having a Dexa scan at 50 years and I watched my T score diminish over the next years. I became aggressive at research and fascinated with bones. I needed medication at sixty seven, but was side tracked by illness of other family members and then my own wild ride with cancer. At 71 I started Forteo with my mom's endocrinologist.
