@bamaqueen As soon as I read "retired nurse" I wondered if you worked in a hospital setting or doctors office etc.. My thoughts went to often patients might have given you what they had, illnesses. If so, that certainly didn't/couldn't help you through the years with the sum of it all in, some way , adding to your health.
For ten years, just about, I slept flat on my back and feel this contributed to my BE...but as I said helped contribute. I have believed it is never just one thing that caused/causes a happening/event etc. in ones life.
Yes to Manuka honey or a good pure honey also.
Your body has given you much to take care of and that ain't an easy job in many ways.

Wish we could Velcro ourselves to the right sleeping position so not to end up on one's back and below where we should be.
I, for me, I did not start PPI's and to this day do not think I would if a doctor prescribed them due to possible side effects, especially with osteoporosis and BE.
