Hi there. I take Amikacin 3 times a week. It takes about 30 minutes to administer, it’s a plastic ball that you hook up to your picc line and it magically administers the drug. You can walk around, no pole needed.

IV Amakacin can be inhaled also, I'm not referring to Arikayce but Amikacin. When I was at NJH and they thought I needed RX, I couldn't tolerate the inhaled Arikayce but could inhale the IV Amikacin. Turns out, I'm on watchful wait, so currently don't need.
