Good afternoon I am seeking some pain free advice after a fall I had which led to immediate cervical spine surgery this past December. I have had rehab for two months which helped get me up and moving, followed by PT at home for another two to three months and still ongoing. My left side has returned to normal however my right arm and hand do not function well and at night can't rest without pain. My surgeon said there are some bone spurs which he would go in and clean up which might help the pain or just continue with PT. Has anyone else have this issue and what are recommendations please.

I am six days out from c6 c7 foraminal stenosis surgery to remove bone spurs causing nerve compression and unfortunately on day four severe shoulder and arm pain has returned. I'm wondering if this is normal because for the first four days I had minimal pain and I was feeling pretty good but it has gotten so bad I have to ice every 1/2 hour and take the pain pills which do not help very much. I'm wondering if this is normal recovery or maybe a concern that the pain is permanent.
