@kathrihe and Mary, I too have spinal cyst. This is new on my MRI. I also have developed hemangiomas at T1-T2. I’ve tried all the nerve meds with no relief. My physician is excellent and goes above and beyond seeking treatments to find me relief. After several years of suffering, the only relief I have gotten is with long acting pain medication, Xtampza as well as fast acting Percocet for breakthrough pain. I know there is so much controversy around opioids, but, when you suffer every single day of your life, you get to a point where you want to try anything to find some pain relief and quality of life. I’m thankful that something gives me some relief. I don’t think I will ever be pain free but some quality of life is better than the alternative.

I took Gabapentin for about a week and noticed a severe memory loss problem. Another problem was that I could not remember words to finish sentences. It was very noticeable to me. The only thing different was that I had added Gabapentin. Looked up the side effects and the memory problem was listed. Had only been on it a week. My memory went back to normal after I quit taking it.
I see a lot of people on this forum trying to get off their medications. Several of you have stated that you have been on the medicines for long periods of time, some for years. You need professional help to stop taking these medicines. You could have severe complications trying to do it on your own!
