I followed Michelle Kenway's video below for a few weeks, working up to 2-3 times per day, before I started working with a pelvic floor PT specialist for about 6 weeks leading up to my surgery. During my first visit, the PT told me that I was already doing Kegels correctly. I attribute that to the video - the routine is simple, and Michelle explains the how and why in a very understandable way. I continued to incorporate Michelle's routine with my PT's recommended exercises right up until the day before surgery. Although I can't say exactly how much Kegels contributed to my immediate post-catheter and continued continence, I'm extremely happy with the result.

@psychometric I saw her and was pulled to her broadcast but opted for someone else. I am viewing her now. Thank you!😊

Yes, I liked watching her, but found her expectations were a little unrealistic.
As I recall she expected you to do Kegels ten times in a row, holding them quite long.
I think I worked up to about half a dozen reps, holding them for five seconds. It's a little like weight lifting--you work up to things gradually.
