HI, I have been having severe back pain for several years now. I have had the nerves burned, acupuncture and shots for the pain. I had a CT scan of my abdomen done a few years ago and I found out I had mild stenosis of the celiac artery ( celiac artery compression syndrome or MALS). Since it was only mild, nothing happened. The back pain continued, my stomach swelled. Went to several doctors who did more CT scans. Found out it was severe stenosis instead of mild now. I had my pain management doctor send me to a vascular surgeon. He ordered another CTA scan which confirmed it is toward the moderate stenosis level now. Thankfully, I have another blood vessel or two that is supplying my organs with blood for now. The vascular surgeon sent me to a transplant doctor, since he said if he did surgery on me, he would have to open me all of the way up. The transplant doctor will do laparoscopic surgery. He will release the ligament that is constricting my celiac artery and do something with the nerves that are causing me to have such pain. It has taken literally years to get to the point that I will have surgery in a little more than a week. MALs or celiac artery compression . Not saying that is what you might have, but if you're having other problems with your stomach, like bloating, lots of pressure, feeling like it is expanding so much it might burst, it might be something to have your doctor look at or for. Also, If you have a heart murmur, too , a small percentage of people who have a heart murmur also have celiac artery compression syndrome. It is considered a vascular problem and hard to diagnose since it is rather rare. Hope you get some answers.

@sunnyskies81 Thank you for your post. They are diagnosing me with what they think is Celiac disease. They are also giving me medication to slow my heat beat. I have had many stomach issues and had a fundolication( not sure if the spelling), due to Barrett’s esophagus. I have severe back pain in my mid back. I also have spondylitis in my lower back. I am waiting to see the pain doctor. I also have Sjogrens Symdrom. Personally I am thinking that this is contributing to many of my symptoms. I think that Sjogrens causes more than dry eyes and mouth. Just frustrated. I am waiting selfie a call to have a follow up to a scope for my stomach. I am also going to have a colonoscopy. Just frustrated. I was a very active person.
