What AI wrote seems very helpful. I was at NJH last October for 6 days of testing plus weekends (nothing planned) and travel days.

I stayed at an upscale hotel in Cherry Creek, about a 15 minute Uber ride from NJH. It was too upscale for me...no dresser drawers, etc...and would not stay there again. The schedule didn't leave me time to go back to the hotel between appointments but there was often time that was idle. I went a day early to adjust to the altitude but there was really no adjustment I had to make. My last appointments were on a Monday. I left on Tuesday.

I have not returned, and I probably will not. It is a hassle to get there, and I'm almost 85. You will be assigned an Ambassador and primary doctor. My doctor was a pulmonologist. The Ambassador can add on visits or change them if the doctors choose to do that. Everyone there was very helpful. I had to ask directions almost every time I went to a new location. Don't be embarrassed by that. My pulmonologist from there still follows me for when I send in a sputum culture or have any questions or tests. My pulmonologist here in Arizona gets reports and sent all my information to NJH before the first time I went.

There are probably lots of other questions you have. I'd be glad to answer any before you go. Good luck.

Roz

Roz, where you being treated in AZ? My wife has BE and is seeing Docs at Az Pulmonary in Scottsdale. Looking to her get admitted to Norton Thoracic Inst, in PHX which specializes in BE among other lung issues.
