@reb2026 I’ve had a D&C by two different gynecologists. These are specialists who are qualified and routinely do a D&C. Mine were done under sedation. I would not have wanted to do this procedure while awake and being awake was never a consideration by my gynecologist.

If you’re concerned that your gynecologist isn’t experienced enough to do a D&C, why not ask her how often and how many D&Cs she had performed? Physicians who do procedures are usually happy to answer this question.
