@bajjerfan - I have Part D but needed to arrange for the prescribing doctor to verify preauthorization. The way it works for me at least (I live in CA) is the pharmacy gets a new rx from the Dr. When they are ready to refill it, they will send some kind of preauth ‘thing’ to my Dr.?He sees it and verifies it. After that I only pay $3.00 or so instead of $600.
I don’t know if it is the same in other states.

@bajjerfan I forgot to mention I also have Part G using Humana. I do not know if this has any bearing on cost savings with Lyrica. What the pharmacy told me was Medicare will not pay for 600mg of Lyrica but they Will cover 450 mg (for cheap) with a preauthorization. Again this is in CA.

@ardeecor i have nerve pain stemming from my spinal stroke that damaged my spinal cord. It worked really well for my nerve pain. Especially since nerve pain is so hard to treat. I had to stop taking it because it made me way too tired. Like 2 hour naps a couple times a day. That was MY system’s reaction. I know plenty of people that take it without that side effect.
