That’s nice your IVs aren’t every day.
I was worried about the food too and mentioned it to my ID. He didn’t think the food was a big concern. You can message your ID and ask his opinion or if you speak with a specialty pharmacy ask them.
My ID did order a monthly EKG while I was on the IVs and Linezolid because 2 of the drugs could affect my heart QTc prolongation. My numbers were always good.
I thought of a few other items to mention….
-I did get yeast infections a few times so ID ordered the script to take monthly and stopped infection again.
-I take a daily probiotic and drink Kefir.
-I have been tested for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin and results were 1 abnormal gene. ID and Pulmonologist mentioned sending me to the genetic counseling clinic for further testing.
-I use nebulizer daily and have the vibrating vest. I can’t produce a sputum sample so I’ve had 2 bronchoscopies for cultures. I have BE too.
And try to do “normal” stuff as much as possible for your well being. 😊
Have a happy day!

@janetannfaust I am so glad we have connected. You have been of great help. If you read the Internet it seems you can’t eat anything. Meats aren’t a problem for me as I only eat seafood, veggies and fruit. I think the big thing to avoid is aged items and fermented foods. I have a list I will refer to from the internet. I too was tested for Alpha1 gene but that was negative. I do need to get a probiotic, what are you taking?I am trying to do “some” of my normal activities but I am only a week into this journey and my body needs to adjust to the meds ( I hope). I try to get a short walk in once, sometimes twice a day. I rest a lot because I have too. The nausea comes and goes.. again thanks for all your kind help and if you could let me know what probiotic you’re on, I’d really appreciate it.
