74 old . I'm 2 weeks out from surgery & while I had massive clotting issues during surgery (I have thrombophilia) I had the catheter popped out on Day 6 & there has only been very slight amounts of blood spotting. Urinating fairly normally but its obvious I'm still in the healing process. at 74 I had erections soon after the cath was removed but haven't been able to get into see the Doc and won't yet for a few weeks. It's kinda astounding to me that there is so little data and recommendations out yet but it IS a new procedure. The nursing staff at the hospital were definitely all in learning mode and didn't have much experience yet with the procedure. The big 2 for me prior to surgery was time to having sex and time to getting back on a bike. I know my urologist recommends a hard line for cycling at 6 weeks which will almost be as hard to obey as delaying sex. Before surgery they both kind of were softly spoken of as around 2-3 weeks but it seems like they both are now double that. Not going to take too many risks but it IS hard being patient. When given the all clear for cycling i intend to use an indoor trainer that isn't subject to road vibrations and I'm certainly going to delay mountain biking until well after 8 weeks. In terms of ejaculation I've read several guys who recommend that the 1st one be done solo because of the likelihood of blood or tissue coming out & don't want to have my wife endure that so I might follow those anecdotal guidelines. i was taking. Finally i was put on Myrbetriq for bladder spasms and to relax the bladder. I didn't notice much change after 4 days but I was also peeing clear and regularly and since it was producing farily high blood pressure for me I quit taking it. No impact on anything except the blood pressure is normal. Just wondering if anyone else was taking this and for how long? Cheers everyone. Hope you all have full recoveries.

@bigdog74 the minimum period I've seen on the various Mayo Clinic threads is one month before sex which is what my doctor indicated. I don't know what happens if you rush it, but if there was one thing I didn't want to break that was it. As for ejaculation my first at a month was a little bloody even though I had no blood in my urine at that point. I was still urinating the occasional small scab up until about 2 1/2 months.
As for cycling you're going to do what you're going to do, but i can't imagine putting that kind of pressure directly on my prostate at 6 weeks. I don't know what the long term repercussions might be but I would not be surprised if you started to bleed a little again.
