Tymlos causing belly fat?

Hi @sls98

After about 9-1/2 months on Tymlos (2022-23) I had to discontinue it - too many severe adverse reactions.

That said, at this point, I can’t really say I still have the belly. At nearly 71, it could be just age 🤔 or the result of several vertebral frax which can shorten the spine, leaving nowhere for organs to rest except low. In some OP cases, the spine bends inward toward the belly which can make it appear to protrude.

When I stand up straight, my stomach and abdomen are relatively flat. I need to exercise, get my weight back down, and focus on strengthening my core which helps in so many ways.

Sorry for going around the world to answer your simple question. Wishing you the best in your fight.

Cheers! ♥️

I too developed belly fat, never seen before. I am off Tymlos after 2 years and my bone density increased, but the belly fat is still there. I am 72 years old and work out daily. I am happy with the increased bone density, but hate the blubber around the middle that does not go away.
