I went in for a L4 nerve pinch & because my BP was 157 over 117 they put me Lisinopril along with stuff for my pinched nerve. Since using up everything for my back I'm only taking the Lisinopril & its got ALL MESSED UP. Just about every side effect you listed along with cold feet & uncontrollable sweating. I'm DONE with doctors! I've literally had every test done & high BP is all I have going on & since switching to a red meat & carbs diet I dropped 50lbs in 35 days & I've felt fantastic until I started taking this crap.

There are many alternatives available to Lisinopril. At that BP I'm not surprised with the reaction from Dr's. That BP is what I have been living with for over 40 years and I'm still waiting for the stroke I have been promised. Even on lisinopril I still run above 150/100 daily, spiking to 240/140 regularly and damage is being done to the body. I'm intolerant of all BP and diabetic medication and am sick of being told I have to suck it up. Easy for them to say when they are not within arms reach when I react with physical aggression from their medicating me, lucky them! I understand the problems I face with high BP and glucose levels but the side effects are more crippling than the cure for me. I should suffer from the side effects of medication in order to address the symptoms of my health! Next thing I'll be given more medication to counter the previous medication side effects which is supposed to counter the one before it. Seems there is a medication for everything but comfortable living.
I'm taking 5mg of Lisinopril currently, which does nothing for my BP but stops the 24/7 migraines I get when off it, there is underlying aggression with this small dose which I usually manage to suppress, but not always.
Interestingly I'm trialing the last know diabetic medication for me, a new one, which has increased my BP by 8%, not a lot until you factor in I'm way over the desired level anyway.
Curiously when I'm off medication I generally feel better myself, I guess the body has adapted to these high figures something medicine can't factor in. Believe me doing nothing is doing damage to your body despite feeling good, it is only superficial. One day you will realise it is too late to do anything, the damage is done. I can't undo the damage, just try to arrest the progress is all I can do, unsuccessfuly for the moment.
I would suggest trying different BP meds as you are likely to fnd one that suits. I'm way outside the norm for medication, yet I still try new meds incase I crack the side effects. You don't know until you try, there is always hope one will stick.
Cheers
