I had an HoLEP in February at 74 years old, and it was way less painful and way more effective than the UroLift that I had many years previously. But... you need an experienced Doctor, I strongly recommend Dr. Slade in Boise ID, he treats people from all over the world. He is true specialist in this area. Also, RE is not a big deal at all, don't miss the mess. The many daily urinary functions that took me back to way I was 25-30 years early are what is most important. Doctors avoid the HoLEP because of the specialized equipment and training, see a pro and get it done right and never have prostrate problems again!
