You’ve said it all very well Judy. Our docs and medical system are failing us. Let’s hope technology (can you say “AI”?) will boost our collective knowlege and discovery abilities to find us solutions. Im so sorry you are experiencing this.

This disease is daily torture. I feel your pain.

I’ve tried so many things, by now my social media feed is overrun by so many encouraging concepts, including supplements. Each with their own detailed theory and explanation for what has caused it and their solution, which is guaranteed to work. Who organized the chiropractors convention that showed them the money train for promising us solutions? Now, as soon as I see “DC” I move on, quickly. When will neurologists attend a convention?? When will they step up and be experts in their area of specialty?

If I sound frustrated it is because I am! I feel variously abandoned by our medical professionals, discouraged, and tortured. The quality of our lives has been stripped away.

Rant over.

I just came accross this possible supplement solution, called Amla, a super fruit that purportedly promotes mitochondria regeneration, ultimately leading to myelin sheath health. I thought it was promising. The brand in the link attached is pricey, simply searching Amla resulted in many sources for this supplement, in multiple forms and widely varying pricing. I haven’t tried it yet so I can’t speak to it. The “discouraged me” acknowledges that if it was as good as the marketing pitch, we’d all be frolicking in a field of flowers together somewhere, celebrating our rejuvenated health, at our own convention. LOL

Darn it, this site apparently won’t let me paste in a link. Google Amla super fruit. I’ll get a better description and add another reply so I don’t lose the text of this message.

Sending hugs and prayers for a solution.

PS I believe my neuropathy was caused by statins.

@johnjp I agree with you about the health care in America, I take Alpha Lipoid Acid for my Neuorapathy, It helps greatly with the burning sensation. It stops the burning . I take 600mg morning and 600mg at night. It is what is in the expensive Neuropathy medicine, but they do not put enough it their. you can get different strengths. I started with 300mg but had to increase. It will not hurt you, but the only thing is it burns my stomach unless I eat before taking it. or eat after you take it. It really works and is not expensive. you can get it at Amazon. Good luck and God Bless
