Neuropathy is when nerves loose some of their insulation. Vitamin B12 renews it. It is sourced in all animal and fish. Many people eat way too little animal protein. It's expensive. Med. name for B12 is cobalamin. Coba stands for the soil mineral cobalt. Grazing animals eat grass coated in soil dust containing cobalamin. We eat meat so we get B12. It is extracted by stomach acid. Us elders have less acid so we absorb much less B12. Alcohol makes it worse. So it's a good idea to take the supplement METHYLCOBALAMIN daily. Feel your neuropathy go away. Good luck

@jamessaxo
METHYLCOBALAMIN is B12 but it is more bioavailable or absorbable then the other version that begins with a C.

@jamessaxo I eat red meat but not often. I eat salmon and other fish much more often. I take, among many other OTC supplements, 1000Mg of Vitamin B12 daily. And, I do have neuropathy. I have not heard of Methylcobalamin until now. When adding that to one's list, what do physicians usually suggest you start with on a daily basis? Also, when adding Methylcobalamin to one's diet, do you then stop the daily intake of B-12 supplements?
