@llynch17056 I also had issues with statins. The pain from them was so intense that I was literally bedridden. And since I'm clueless, I went from specialist to specialist trying to figure out what was causing it. Finally, a rheumatologist told me it was the statins and I stopped taking them. I couldn't even take the "natural" types of statins (homeopathic) the results were the same. I was put on Repatha and at first I was happy, because I had no symptoms. But by the end of month one, I was having severe cramps, muscle spasms, and gastric issues. I lost weight (I could stand to lose weight, but not that way!). I stopped Repatha on my own, because my doctor wanted me to stick with it (it was incredibly successful at lowering my cholesterol), but I felt it just wasn't worth the risk. I went without for a year. My cholesterol level climbed back up. I decided to give the Repatha another try. Again, no symptoms after the first dose, but the horrible symptoms slowly returned. It's been 4 months now and I'm going to have to quit again. In addition to the cramps, spasms, and gastric distress, now I also have extreme exhaustion. I can't tolerate how severely the Repatha is affecting my quality of life. I've had Preluent and Nexletol suggested, but Nexletol affects tendons and ligaments, and I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), so that's a no-go. I was told that Preluent is basically the same as Repatha only in smaller doses, so I'm going to give that a try. It occurred to me that maybe smaller doses of Repatha might be beneficial with lower chance of negative symptoms, but Repatha only comes in two doses, and the lowest one is what I've been on. If the food we eat doesn't kill us, the drugs will. *sigh*
