I also wanted to add that at 77 I was 90 percent focused on quality of life rather than quantity. Something is going to end my life and I am focused on my sex life and any thing else that will make my life more pleasurable. The actuarial tables give me an average age of death at 84. Since I am on the brink of 78...in theory I have 6 years left.
@loplady, could you share what negative events your gynecologist mentioned?

I knew at my age and years post menopause that it would benefit my bones to some degree. Bone health was not my primary reason for starting bhrt. I wanted my robust libido back after so many years. It worked beautifully. I have no more urine incontinence, no more senile purpura, enhanced energy and more positive outlook. I believe it is helping with muscle health and resilience.
