I am 80, and I had 12 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy in the fall of 2025 for distal pancreatic cancer. In January of 2026, I had distal pancreatic surgery with spleen removal. The surgery took 9.5 hours. It's May 2026, and I have a difficult time recalling names and nouns since surgery. I don't have any other cognitive issues. Socially, this is very embarrassing, because I know people think I have dementia, which I do not. I hope this recall improves, only I know it might not. The good news is I am cancer free.

@mjdawa and that IS good news!!
For what it's worth, a relative of mine in her 50's had the same trouble after general surgery not nearly as extensive as yours. That was months ago and she is still getting her word retrieval back..
