I am 54 years old with a t score of -4.4 in my spine and -3.1 in my hip. I just had my first dose of evenity. The shot was so painful. I had never experienced a shot like that. My arms swelled and hurt really bad. The next day I had flu like symptoms and achy which I heard is common. Day 3 was better but still a little fatigue and woke up in the night with upset stomach. I had to go to work today even though I still don't feel great. I am a teacher so it is hard to just call out. I do not know if I can sustain this. Dreading 11 more shots to go! I just wanted to share my experience. I have used actonel, reclast, and prolia in the past. I teach a strength training class twice a week at my job and take supplements. I have also been on HRT for over a decade. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis at 38.

@bumblegal
Try icing immediately after shots. You may have to take your own.

I had significant pain when the injections were given in my arm and they hadn’t let the medicine come to room temperature after taking out of a refrigerator. I now take the injections in the belly where i have more fat and make sure the medicine is room temp. I also was told to go home and put a heating pad in it for w while. I did that the first couple of times but it’s not necessary for me really.
