@patz I asked this same question when we moved from Arizona to Washington State in 2023. I had been seeing a Mayo GI for over 10 years as my primary GI.

I was told that they really preferred I had a local GI or practice who could actually see me in person or if I were hospitalized.

I looked at the local GI office, and found someone who had done their Fellowship at Mayo Rochester, and that is now my primary GI.

It's worth asking you Mayo GI, but that was the answer I got.
