I had a shoulder replacement 5 years ago which failed so I had a reversal shoulder replacement which got infected so they took it out. I was without a joint for a year because the surgeon said there was not enough bone to replace the shoulder. I found a surgeon who used ct guided imaging to determine if surgery to replace the shoulder was feasible. It was and so I had the surgery. Everything was good until recently. My muscle and area around the scar get hard and it hurts if I move a certain way. I moved to AK from Atlanta where my surgeon was so I have to start over with a new doctor. Does anyone have symptoms like mine? I am short and the smallest implant barely fit.

@pattie725, if your initial recovery was good, I wonder if some physical therapy from a specialist would identify the muscles involved and have you do targeted exercises and stretches as well as various massage, dry needling, or myofascial release treatments. You probably will need a referral from your surgeon or primary care doctor so insurance will cover it.
