@mjpisa Thank you, I appreciate your reply.
Mine was described thus: Focal dissection at the proximal celiac artery with a 1.4 x 0.8 cm left-sided saccular aneurysm
My local vascular specialist has recommended quarterly ultrasounds. He advocates for a stent when and if it reaches 2+. Another specialist I saw suggested surgery if and when it reaches 2+.
I have a younger wife and son for whom I particularly would like to be around for so want a third opinion, both in terms of managing the situation and choice of intervention should it grow. My findings so far looking at the small amount of research available seems to suggest that it most likely won't grow and if it does a stent should be fine. Of course as I'm sure you know this is not an easy stent to place and for that reason I'm keen to have the best in the business on the other end of the knife...
Until then I'm watching the blood pressure, exercising (but not too much!) and limiting other various bad habits.
I would be grateful for any other input you may have. FYI I'm in CT, the best we have in state is Yale New Haven, rated "high performing". I'm still hoping to gain some insight from this sit as to whether Mayo or Cleveland is better for my situation. Do you have a sense of how I could work that out?
