After only 6 doses of BCG the doctor recommends removing bladder? Isn't there another treatment they can try before removing bladder?

@sakshikhurana that is a difficult statement to process. My husband had a highly aggressive tumor that was also BCG failure, but was offered a trial of Keytruda prior to removal of bladder. Since then a newer drug Adstiladrin is available for non muscle invasive bladder cancer and I see others on this forum have had some success with that. Have you considered a second opinion from a large cancer center or referral hospital? Cystectomy is a massive surgery though it does offer best chance of cure in some situations. My husband chose that route after 2+ years of medical treatment with recurrences. Make sure you have a covered all your options and that may include traveling for a second opinion.
