@lkirnbauer I thought of your continued loss of taste and smell when I read about a trial on the National Institute for Health. "40 patients with anosmia (loss of taste and smell) post COVID-19 infection were randomized to either intranasal insulin film vs. normal saline (placebo). At 30 min after administration, patients in the treatment group had significantly greater odor detection compared with both their baseline and the placebo group" Perhaps a chat with your doctor to try the gel or patch form of insulin for application to your nose and see if it works to stimulate your smell and taste olfactory epithelium and promote regeneration? This was the complete study: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10001044/

@pattig09 Thank you so much! I haven’t been told about this by any of my doctors! I’ve been to the Long Covid Clinic here in Chicago and he told me I would never get my taste or smell back. He is the Chief of Neuro and Infectious Disease at Northwestern’s Long Covid Clinic. He was no help! Thanks for the link, I will read it. Again, thanks for your help!
