At 30 min after administration, patients in the treatment group had significantly greater odor detection compared with both their baseline and the placebo group" Perhaps a chat with your doctor to try the gel or patch form of insulin for application to your nose and see if it works to stimulate your smell and taste olfactory epithelium and promote regeneration?
