PNET and fatigue/weakness

@tomrennie Most days I am in good shape emotionally as I’m fortunate to have a wonderful, supportive family. I have occasional down days, usually due to the limitations on what I can do in a day. My doctor told me he doesn’t think the fatigue is from the tumour, but there is no other explanation for the debilitating weakness and fatigue I experience. It’s one of the reasons I wondered if others with a PNET were dealing with fatigue.

@tmickelson It is great that you have a strong support system. That is really helpful. Do you know if your tumor is functional or not?

@tmickelson
I had unexplained fatigue for several years before my NET was discovered. I knew something was wrong. Finally it made sense after discovery of tumor why I was so tired.

I had tumor removed and after I recovered from surgery I felt better. Then last summer I started to feel tired again. When CT showed 2 tumors had reoccurred I wasn’t surprised.

I’ve been on cap/ tem—tumors grew. Now I’m doing Folfox every 2 weeks for 4 cycles so far. I have just a few days in each cycle where I have a bit of energy.

I find out next week if chemo is helping.

I think fatigue goes with this cancer and also the treatments. I get frustrated when I’m not up for much of anything.
