@audry
I have had neuropathy for over 1 year and last July I was diagnosed with celiac disease and my neurologist said I must be on gluten free diet for rest of my life. I was doing fine until I had an unnecessary skin shave biopsy at direction of a profit-driven dermatologist. It is now 4 months later and I still get some form of pain--seems of imflammatory nature near the biopsy site--even though a second dermatologist said wound has healed. An ultrasound of this area did not show any abnormalities. I am wondering if I need to give this more time as calf is hard area to heal plus with celiac/neuropathy it could complicate healing. I am about to cancel or delay an appointment with orthopedist where I was hoping to get an order for MRI. And, I am thinking that a neurologist should or could order MRI-neurography. Perhaps a sensory nerve was damaged in this procedure. As you can see, it is all very confusing and the medical establishment is not so helpful. In the meantime, I have been using voltaren to massage into the area and ice it 4x per day. I stopped physical therapy for now but do some stretches and upper body weights here at home. I also have a strict vitamin supplement regimen as I found out via blood test that I am vitamin D deficient. Maybe with correcting that I will heal more quickly. Anything to add to my saga?
