@sandy19 After knee repair (not Tkr) and hip replacements, the PT's were emphatic about just one thing - no slides, flip-flops or crocs. It sounds like you are already there with Teva and Altra, which both provide support and fasten.

The other thing I learned was that my older shoes neded to be replaced because they had a memory (wear pattern) of my old gait/limp and were causing back pain when I tried to wear them. So you might want to examine the wear pattern on the soles and insides of your shoes and discard those with uneven wear. Given the cost of good shoes, it was difficult for me to do, but the PT was right!

@sueinmn thanks for your message. I might visit an orthotic shoe store and look into orthofeet. You are right, I was not comfortable wearing my old Altra. My Home PT recommended Skechers. Will ask my outpatient PT next week.
