You might call your doc and let him know about your dad. If it were me I might want to call my local gastroenterologist office and see what the wait time is in case your doc wants to refer you for an upper endoscopy. It might set your mind at ease in case it goes in that direction. In addition, you can talk with your doc about how soon you would need to start a followup drug. You might do your own research in part by reading what other tymlos users have to say here on mayo connect.

@gravity3 Thanks for your reply! I have already contacted my endocrinologist (waiting for answer), have already set up a consultation appt with a gastroenterologist physician's assistant Friday. I have been researching like mad online. I was wondering if anyone had experienced something like this, as I can find no clear answers anywhere at this point.
