Interesting, this Covid connection, I started with OLP just about a year ago. On and off Ulcers with the lacy patterns. My gums are always swollen, bleeding on and off. Funny you mention covid, while I wouldn't know if I got it because of it as it' had been a couple years since my last bout. But I just recently got a mild case of Covid, I only tested because I was so oddly tired with a cold and ole usual covid headache. But about 5-6 days later I had an outbreak of ulcers. Google mentions a correlation with the T-cell for OLP and Covid. I was shocked...
From all the accounts I've read I consider mine somewhat manageable and pray it stays that way... not to say I don't have rough days but since learning how to live day to day it's been easier to manage, for now that is. My Doctor and ENT don't have to much to say about it.. although the ENT gave me the steroid paste. I've learned from you all and had to ask for the Swish and Spit. Best of luck to you!

@kmm29 I haven’t been diagnosed with OLP, but I do have it. I diagnosed myself. I saw two ENT’s and neither one said anything about it. If I may ask, what is the name of this Swish and Spit you used? The ulcers on my tongue and swirls of white on the inside of my cheeks are getting lighter with time. I also lost my taste and smell with Covid almost 4 years ago.
