Hi @michellesun - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I think that feeling nervous with having an IPMN discovered in your pancreas is normal. The idea of any foreign invader in your body can be unsettling.

I'd like to introduce you to @hopeful33250, who may have some input on the IPMN finding.

How are you managing your IBS and GERD symptoms, in the meantime?

Hi @michellesun ,

I'm glad that @lisalucier invited me to this discussion. I also had IPMNs discovered over 20 years ago. They showed up on a CT scan done for something unrelated. They have remained relatively stable throughout the years. Prior to this finding, I had two surgeries for a rare form of cancer, so my anxiety was elevated when I thought this might be more cancer. I really do understand how this diagnosis can lead to unnecessary worry.

I gather from your post that the IBS and GERD symptoms are not well-controlled? Please share how you control these problems. Have you made dietary or other lifestyle changes to accommodate these problems?
