@briarrose Hi, I just read your comment and it has been very helpful. I’m due to have a bilateral flat mastectomy on 12 May and want to find out as much as I can. They want to send me home the same day. I have asked twice if I could please stay just one night, but they don’t think this is necessary. Everyone I tell is very surprised that I’m leaving the same day.
I’d like to order some things from Amazon to have ready. I’m currently in an assisted living facility, but I do not have nursing assistance.

@okisharon I had a lumpectomy but the mastectomy pillow on Amazon was very helpful. Used it in the car on the way home for support. It has cold packs you can slip in pockets. I even slept with it on one side resting my arm on the pillow. Big help.
