I had radiation for breast cancer in 2020 and I have what the radiologist believes is a scar on my lungs. I also notice I can't cough as robust as I used to. There are times I notice I can’t take as deep of a breath as I was able to previously. This has been my experience six years post radiation.

I had radiation for breast cancer in 2025, I had a severe cold/virus this month with heavy mucus, that was almost impossible for to cough up mucus, felt like I was going to choke. Had Xray, showed some variation to my lungs. I am not sure what that means. I received a call from my Radiologist office with a request to see me in June. I guess my primary doctor, called her???
I am 80 years old, had breast cancer in 1995 and second time in 2025.

Thank you. I really minded the oncologist saying the lung scar will not be an issue. How does he know that?
