@walkinggirl Thanks, Linda. I have what is considred a top notch cardic group so it's disappointing they don't have protocol after the surgery to do what you're mentioning. Appreciate your reply.

@lcr35 In my experience, I found that many medical personnel are so focused on their specialty that they often have trouble looking/thinking outside of their specialty box. My primary care person seems to see a bigger picture. For example, I had a cardiologist appointment, and things seemed to be going fine, so he asked if anything else was going on. I talked about a small stress fracture in my left foot, a visit to a podiatrist, 3 months later (earliest appointment available), it was improving but gee, I waited 3 months to have the appointment - given a boot, wore it for less than 2 days because right leg started hurting - off balance - follow up visit "These things tend to heal themselves" - I should have cancelled the appointment. Now I am dealing with PT and an upcoming ortho appointment. As I answered questions about the pain, it did not seem like a blood clot and he lost interest. My primary care doctor suggested PT and PT suggested ortho in addition.
