There is a FB group site for people struggling with COPD, neuropathy, and numerous other medical problems. A user on there had mentioned the Turkey Tail and Cordecephs saying they had been very beneficial in helping him get rid of mucus. .Another item mentioned was Mullen which you can get in capsules or a tea. I have done some research and it seems that these herbal products do help with lung issues. I am going to try some I found on Amazon, will update abut progress. Bill5

Bill - I don't know exactly what happened, but I really thought I replied to you over the weekend.

The safest way to start using complementary herbal medicines is to find a trained Oriental medicine practitioner (not self-trained). My acupuncturist is one, and she is very careful to consider my age, size and all health in recommending herbs. Then she explains the proper dosage & frequency of use.

It is important to remember that herbs are not regulated, and when tested, may contain little to none of the advertised ingredient. Or they may be diluted with undisclosed fillers that could be harmful. I only buy mine from my acupuncturist or the places she recommends.

Also, if you have any heart conditions or diabetes, or take any prescription meds interactions and side effects must be carefully considered. It is a good idea to talk with a doc who understands complementary and alternative medicine.
