I’m having some issues with my thyroid. I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism 15 years ago and have been on Levothyroxine.
Lately my blood work showed I have Primary Hyperparathyroidism. My endocrinologist changed my BP meds to Lisinopril feeling like this may be the problem.
I took one dose and had side effects: dizzy, coughing, sore throat.
Are these common side effects from Lisinopril? And, is there a connection between Primary Hyperparathyroidism and BP?
Thanks!

I meant to say I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism 15 ago.

Yes there is a connection between thyroid issues and BP. There can also be connection between kidney cancer and BP issues... I was put on Lisinopril years ago, and it is an ACE inhibitor. Mayo discovered 2 tumors on my left kidney, which may have been caused by the Lisinopril (inconclusive, but possible). While still in the hospital recuperating from partial nephrectomy, nurses continued my BP med, UNTIL 1 night they could not wake me up... my BP had dropped to 60/30!! I no longer am on any BP meds and my kidneys are functioning great.
Id recommend looking into side effects of NSAIDs and ACE inhibitors...long-term they can both be WICKED.
