As you were diagnosed in 1979 and did not receive any medical treatment at that time, I'm wondering how you got started with a treatment plan. Are you seeing an endocrinologist now?

You mentioned keeping an emergency kit readily available. What items to you store in that kit?

Hi @hopeful33250,

I moved from Germany to the U.S. in 1991. My first treatment with prednisone didn’t begin until 2008, following an MRI.

I’ve since returned to Germany, where an endocrinologist performed a new ACTH test and switched my medication to hydrocortisone, which has been working well so far.

The contents of your emergency kit should be determined by your endocrinologist, based on your MRI results and adrenal gland function.
