@colleenyoung Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone has gone through something similar or has information about this type of breast cancer.
Diagnosis:
* Pleomorphic invasive lobular carcinoma of the left breast.
* Hormone receptors:
* Estrogen receptor positive: 90%
* Progesterone receptor positive: 20%
* HER2 negative (score 0)
* Ki67: 10%
* Moderate nuclear grade.
* No necrosis or visible lymphovascular invasion on biopsy.
Studies:
* Chest CT scan:
* Tumor approximately 28 x 25 mm.
* Another adjacent 9 mm nodule.
* Lungs with no visible metastases.
* No mediastinal lymph nodes involved.
* Abdominal CT scan:
* No liver lesions or abdominal metastases.
* No enlarged lymph nodes.
The medical team said the tumor is close to the lung/chest wall and they want to treat it quickly because it is “pressing” on the lung, although another doctor said there are no metastases and the CT scans do not show pulmonary or abdominal metastases.
However, the treatment form states:
* Current stage: IV
* Initial stage: IVB
And this is causing a lot of confusion because the scans do not show clear metastases.
Treatment plan:
1. Doxorubicin + Cyclophosphamide (AC)
* Every 21 days
* 4 cycles
2. Then weekly Paclitaxel
* 12 weeks
She also had an echocardiogram showing:
* Concentric left ventricular remodeling
* Grade 1 diastolic dysfunction
I wanted to ask:
* Has anyone had a similar case?
* Has anyone with hormone-positive pleomorphic invasive lobular carcinoma gone through this treatment plan?
* What was your experience with AC + Paclitaxel?
Thank you 💛
