Nancymitch: My neuro doc told me a typical growth rate is about 1 to 2 millimeters a year. (2 millimeters would be about 1/16th of an inch.) I agree with Randy Shields not to wait a year because if the meningioma is more aggressive the growth rate could be more than 1 to 2 millimeters and why take the chance of allowing it to grow to the point where it may impact surrounding structures. If your 6 month recheck indicates it is slow growing I would ask your doctor if you can relax and assume it is not an aggressive tumor.

@mkoch well my update, it is not growing in my brain and still cancer free and just have some whoops to jump through, but all in all i am doing good today and in good spirits, wish i could bottle the way i feel most the time and sell it or give it to the ones needing a good outlook along with good feelings despite being in pain most the time but that is part of growing old. You occasionally do something you pay for later. then have to have a few added days to recoup. got off track but that is ok. for now smile and have a blessed day.
