Hello,

I am male, 47 and recently diagnosed with LAE. It's at 4.9cm and I have a history of 20 years of endurance exercise and hidden hypertension. The hypertension is the result of 15 years of smokeless tobacco and then 10 years of mild nicotine gum and packet use. I simply used the nicotine as an aid to concentrate and never thought how bad it was for me.

I need to go through a bunch of tests like echo, stress. This was found incidental on a CTA to for calcium score.

I am devastated and looking to gain as much information as possible.

Hello @fastinghrt,

I combined your discussion with an existing discussion titled:

@chelee and @gloaming both shared their knowledge and experiences and you may wish to read those as well. It sounds like you are having a hard time with all the upcoming tests and unknowns. Was the nicotine use mentioned as a possible cause? Have you been able to stop using it since?
